MEET THE CHEF

Ricardo "Ricky" Green

Owner & Executive Chef

As a native of Jamaica, Chef Ricky developed his calling for exquisite cuisine during his early teenage years, with a vast exposure to traditional dishes, such as jerk chicken, ackee and saltfish, and his favorite braised oxtail. Coming from a family of seven, Chef Ricky continued to perfect his craft by cooking for his siblings and neighbors. After he migrated to the United States, he furthered his passion by pursuing a Culinary Arts degree at the accredited Culinary Art Institute (Ai).  

Chef Ricky then gained his first stripes in the kitchen as extern at the well-known Central Park Boathouse Restaurant in New York City, he quickly progressed and was known for his artistic plate presentation and sharp knife skills. He exceled and furthered his culinary career with the Marriott Corporation located in New York City, New Jersey, including, the Ritz- Carlton and the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center in Maryland.

With over 20 years of professional culinary experience, in hospitality and catering, Chef Ricky has experience as Garde Manger, Sous Chef, Chef-de-Cuisine, and Executive Chef at several elite private clubs, such as the University Club of Michigan State University, the prestigious clubs in Washington D.C., Army and Navy Club, Sulgrave Club, and City Tavern Club. Chef Ricky has cooked for many distinguished guests of Congress, Cabinet Members, Military Officials, Corporate Executives, doctors, lawyers, local church, first responders, and his community.


Chef Ricky’s wide culinary exposure has positioned him to be versed in many cuisines, such as American, Asian, Italian, French, Southern, Mediterranean, Spanish, Vegan, and of course, Jamaican. Chef Ricky is always delighted to spoil his guest and seeks to please even the most untamed and sophisticated palate.


With the mindset of customer satisfaction first, Staged to Appeal Catering Services, LLC is Chef Ricky's platform to display his God-given talent with artistic presentations STAGED to appeal to the eye first, then to the palate, with a lasting impression.


Chef Ricky lives in Bowie, Maryland with his wife Ludeen, an attorney, and their two young children, Caden and Layla, who are his strongest critics.

We know that visual appearance will impact your experience even before you taste it; so after skillful preparation of our foods, we staged our creations to appeal to even the most untamed and sophisticated palate.
